HOBBIES AND PERSONAL DETAIL

Most people find their passion in life through experiences or introductions to people that provide new outlooks. I am no different, except my passion was born from a family tragedy. With the passing of my father in 2006, I quickly learned how important is it to have a plan in place, or more importantly, the devastation when there is no plan at all. Since entering the financial industry, I have made it my personal mission to consult with individuals to help them prepare for their futures and help protect their goals. My passion may stem from a tragedy, but my mission is to help others avoid them.

I am a volunteer with Keep Our Desert Clean, Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, and a member of the Exchange Club of Scottsdale. I have volunteered in public-school districts where I have helped in classroom projects, parent-teacher nights, and ran educational workshops for teachers and staff for personal financial literacy. I have also volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House to cook meals for the families of the children receiving hospital care and with other community outreach programs cleaning up assisted living homes, Boys and Girls Clubs, and public beautification efforts.

Although I was born and raised in Washington State, my heart was always set on having sunshine and palm trees in my life. I relocated to Phoenix, AZ to escape the rain and haven’t looked back. In my leisure time, I am an avid college football fan and spend my Saturdays cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Additionally, I have developed a love for travel and look to visit many more international locations in the future. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and camping. It is a short-term goal of mine to see more of Arizona and the adventures this state has to offer my wife, Marisa, and our beautiful German Shepherd dog, Bella!

Knowledge is the key to a successful financial future. I pride myself in getting to know each client so that I can understand their individual needs and what matters most to them. This helps me provide products and strategies designed to help meet their current needs, and more importantly, their future needs.

WORKING EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL INFO

Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor, I worked with people who were trying to manage metabolic diseases.  Life events have taught me there is a strong relationship between health and financial planning.  My personal experience as a member of the “sandwich generation” is an example of how modern financial considerations impact the way many must plan for their financial future.  My two children are blessed to have both sets of grandparents and a great grandmother.  This also means that as my wife and I execute our plan to save for our retirement, we must also consider how funding educations for our children and the potential cost of elder care could affect our lives and plan.  In my free time, I enjoy getting involved with my community at Saint Thomas the Apostle and spending time with my friends and family outside.
